Glutamine is one of 20+ naturally occurring amino acids. Meat and eggs are rich resources of glutamine.
Although it’s a non-essential amino acid, meaning the body can synthesize it. During intense exercise, injury, illness, or severe catabolic state(lack of glucose), the demand for glutamine increases. For those who regularly exercise, relying solely on the body’s synthesis of glutamine might not be sufficient.
